Art Institute Professional Advisory Committee

Clothes Hound had the esteemed pleasure of attending The Art Institute of Durham's spring review of several of the fashion students portfolios.  The event was held at Bay 7 which is in the American Tobacco District of Durham.

Several of the Fashion Merchandising students had tables set up showcasing their porfolios which included sketches of models and clothes, trend analysis, trend forecasting and study of fabrics and silhouettes.

The students included internship work from various projects. For example Visual Merchandising experience from retail stores such as Anthropologie and Banana Republic!

We got a chance to chat with these ladies and showcase their projects for you to enjoy on our blog!

It turned out to be a fantastic evening! Clothes Hound was in phenomenal company with other retailers on the board from fashion mainstays such as Anne Taylor, Coach, Belk and other smaller boutiques.  There were also independent designers and marketing professionals in attendence as well. The professionals involved were able to give a wide range of opinions and critiques.

We were so honored to be part of this review of young talent that will surely impact the fashion industry in the near future! Congratulations to all the graduates and good luck!
