Hound of the Week: Meet Nina!

Meet Nina! Nina is a red brindle, red nose pit bull who is around 4 years old. Nina was turned into a local high kill shelter when her owner learned that she was expecting a child - the sad part is, Nina was also expecting, and was quickly put on their euthanasia list. We pulled her on her last day alive, and she is currently in foster care.

Due to her abusive past (she was kicked repeatedly, and thus has sensitivity issues around feet), she will need a patient, loving person who is willing to work with her. She is the perfect age - still active, but no longer a hyperactive puppy. She is excellent with cats, and good with most other dogs. She would prefer to be adopted with her best friend, a female pit bull named Peeps, but it is not required. What to wear to a charity fashion show!

 

Clothes Hound has a BIG charity fashion show coming up this weekend called "Couture for a Cause"!

 

 

 

This is a couture fashion show where local designers partner up with local non profits and design two outfits inspired by the non profit.  These designers are super talented and have amazing looks!

This year Clothes Hound is not only a sponsor of the event but our owner Bryce Batts is an esteemed Judge!

 

Not to mention our local celebrity friend Maggie Alexander from NBC-17 is the Emcee!

The fashion show is pretty formal and most likely everyone will be in cocktail attire.  So we put together the exact outfit that our team member, Mary, will be wearing. 

 She is also working behind the scenes for the show, so she wanted something comfortable yet classy while shes running around before, during and after the show.

Hound of the Week: Meet Max!

MEET MAX!

Max is a big goofball of a 2 year old red retriever who was rescued from a high kill shelter on his last day alive. He is an amazing dog, who loves to run and play, but also is fine with snuggling on the couch. He loves other dogs and gets along great with everyone he meets.

Hound of the Week: Meet Bootsey!

 We had this idea awhile ago to showcase a new adoptable hound of the week, well now it's time!

MEET BOOTSEY!

Bootsey ears back!

Bootsey is a 3 year old female papillion corgi mix. She is about 15 pounds and sweet as can be.  Her foster mom has seen no agression in her.  She loves kisses and to be petted and loved on.  She has been recently treated for heartworm and will be all better and ready for adoption in about a week!

Bootsey is house broken and very playful.  She is great with cats and other small dogs.  She will adjust to all animals with time.  She a cuddle bear who just craves your attention and love.  She's a super cute lady!

OKAY.......so we admit it, we basically got to live every fashion maven's dream a few weeks ago. We got to travel to NYC in search of new vendors and brands we could sell in the store. But really guys, its a lot harder than it looks!
